Adding To The Collection

Hi Everyone,

Just want to share a picture of me and the newest member of my doll family. I just bought her at the last flea market I went to.

I think I am going to name her Emily.

Have a joy-filled evening!

Gigi =:)

I really don't know how old she is. She was in a plastic bag and the bag was quite dirty so first I wasn't sure if I should buy her. But the man who was selling her said it was ok to take her out and look at her and she seemed fine, just delicate. But he wasn't sure how old she was.
She is one of my favorites.
I am going to post pictures of a lot of my other dolls when I get a chance.
Thanks for the comment!
xoxo

The material and lace is just beautiful!

I love fleamarkets, but never go....none of my family likes them. The hubby only wants to go if there are guns or tools....typical....lol

I love flea markets. I am so sad, there is a wonderful flea market on the 17'th of this month that I always go to when it comes to the park where I walk. And I can't go, at least not until it's almost over. I have to work in NYC that day, need to be there by 7:00 AM for inventory at one of our locations. By the time I get back, walk a mile or so from the bus stop to home, settle in, get my car and go it will be almost done. Oh well, the upside is I get a comp day for working on a Sunday. :)

You are The Empress

Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.

The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents, beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.
