A Thing Of Beauty

While I was out walking the other day I came across this bird's nest on the ground and had to go back to the car to get my camera. I didn't want to miss the opportunity to capture this beautiful work of art. There is art and beauty in all of nature and come Spring the little creature who inhabited this nest last year will be back and start the cycle of life again.

That Time Of Year Again

Well, it's almost Christmas time again, I can't believe how fast this year flew by. Let us hope and pray that 2009 will be a better year for all of us with peace, prosperity and health.

We went to an old-fashioned carol sing last night and it made me realize how much we miss nowadays. Back in the "old days" people cared more and were grateful for little possessions and I really don't think they felt deprived. They were rich in love, faith, family and hard work.

Let us try to live that way again and appreciate the people in our lives before it is too late.

Once someone is gone all we have left is our regrets for what we didn't do or say to them when we could.

I wish each and every one of you Peace, Light and Love this Holiday Season.

Just Hello!

Hi Friends,

Well believe it or not it is almost the end of the year. 2008 just flew by and I think a lot of you would agree it has been a difficult year in so many different ways. The economy, rising unemployment, bad storms in the mid-west and Texas, fires in California and the on-going war in Iraq. Yet there is still good that rises from these adversities. People still learn the value of family and friendships and what is really important. Although I am not in need, struggling a bit of course, but who isn't, I am still pulling back on spending, being way less extravagant and enjoying the outdoors again and becoming closer to nature as I explore the beauty all around me through my photography and long walks and drives. There is something beautiful to be found in even a fallen leaf or the frost on a flower in late autumn. I try to bring that beauty to life and share with my friends and subscribers through my photography and art videos on my You Tube channel ginnykaren.

As the year draws to a close and winter sets in, I plan to bring you videos and photos of my art work that I plan to work on during this time. My goal is that by the Spring I willl have enough creations made to perhaps take a small space at the local outdoor flea market. Hopefully my work will sell and I can expand on this venture. (In addition to my regular job in the NYC fashion industry of course which I love.)

I hope everyone will take the time to look around and appreciate a beautiful sunrise or sunset,

take a walk in the great outdoors or just sit for a minute and take it all in and let the cares of this hectic life slip away for a moment or two.

Just For Fun

Hi Everyone,
Just thought I would post a fun video I made. I need some cheering up and this helped.
Just found out tonight both of my cousins in Houston suffered great losses of their homes from hurricane Ike. We are having bad weather in my area the next two days also. Don't like what I am hearing on the forecasts with the flooding again and high winds.

Hope everyone is well and I really hope no one that we all know was affected by Hurricane Ike.

It is sad enough about the people we don't know. I am still waiting for news from my aunt in Houston. Her phone just rings and rings with no answering machine. I hope and pray she is ok and just evacuated somewhere else or has no phone service and can't be reached.

Cannot believe this is the last weekend of Summer...how fast it went and Happy Fall everyone!
